In partnership with Thanksgiving Coffee Co we bring you Mirembe Kawomera coffee. The coffee is grown in the eastern region of Uganda on the volcanic slopes of Mt. Elgon by the 600 families of the Mirembe Kawomera Cooperative. Mirembe Kawomera (mirŽem bay cow o mareŽa) means "delicious peace" in the Ugandan language Luganda. Its membership consists of Bantu Jews, Christians, and Muslims working together to promote both religious tolerance and economic justice. One dollars from the sale of every package is donated to the Peace Kawomera Cooperative to support their community-based projects.
(This blend is Light roasted to preserve the sugars and has distinctive floral notes, vanilla undertones and a nutty cashew flavor in the finish 12oz. bag, whole bean.)
