In the traditional silversmithing village of Celuk, on the island of Bali, jewelry is exquisitely handcrafted, using unique and painstakingly detailed techniques, which are passed down through families for generations. Paradiso has worked closely for two decades with small families in this village. As each piece is entirely hand-fabricated, no two are exactly identical; each is an individual work of art.
Each frog pin is handcrafted of sterling silver, decorated with a pattern of carefully formed and hammered silver balls of varying sizes - capturing the texture and playful spirit of this noisy inhabitant of Bali’s rice terraces. A braid of sterling wire adorns each creature’s spine, twisted sterling rope creates individual toes, and beads of silver form the eyes that give each piece its own unique expression.
